#Big5ConstructEA Kenya 2018

Jotun Paints, JCB, Caterpillar, Volvo, Bauer, Aluminco, ACM, Laticrete Middle East, Superlon Worldwide and MASA are among the 200 companies that will be exhibiting their products at The Big 5 Construct East Africa 2016. The event, taking place from Nov 2 to 4, 2016 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, is part of Kenya’s first National Construction Week, , announced by the Kenyan Government earlier this year.

Exhibitors from 20 countries, including Germany, Turkey, Italy, Greece, the UK, France, along with several leading construction firms from Kenya, will showcase the latest and most innovative solutions for the built environment, opening a brand new chapter in the development of the construction industry in East Africa. “With the governmental support of the National Construction Authority and Kenya Investment Authority, the show will offer thousands of products, networking opportunities, live demonstrations and an extensive globally certified educational programme. We are proud to be the only official exhibition of the National Construction Week, an initiative launched by the Kenyan government in 2016,” dmg events’ Senior Vice President, Andy White, said.

The first edition of The Big 5 Construct East Africa will host several launches of products that are new to Kenya and the East African market. Anchor Allied will present its new Polyurethane and Polysulphide Sealants, along with the PU Coatings. The company, which currently exports its products to 36 countries under the brand name “ASMACO”, is one of the largest manufacturers in the UAE of Spray Paints, Silicone Sealants, and Self-Adhesive Tapes.

Fakhri & Brothers Air Conditioning Trading LLC will be launching in the Kenyan market the new Trox Korea UL Listed Refrigerant Copper Tube. The company is an authorized distributor and stockiest for almost 40 companies from all over the world. “At the heart of our company is a strong commitment to provide our clients an optimum world class products distinguished by technical project management expertise,” Fakhri & Brothers’ spokesperson, Adnan Chandia, said.

Visitors to The Big 5 Construct East Africa will be able to meet also with turn-key façade solutions’ provider, Premium Facade Contractor GLASSCON GmbH. The German exhibitor has an extensive international experience, having worked on more than 250 projects designed by architects and consultants like Renzo Piano, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Lufthasa Consulting, Hopkins Architects, and Santiago Calatrava. “From the earliest planning stages through design, fabrication and installation, our expertise-oriented approach will provide customers with a confident process control. We offer German Quality blended with Global Mentality,” GLASSCON GmbH spokesperson stated. 

Dubai-based National Paints Factories will take part to The Big 5 Construct East Africa 2016 with its new range of decorative finishes, named Expressions. Ali Amin Ismail, Export Sales Representative, commented: “We believe that The Big 5 Construct Africa will be the perfect gateway to explore the opportunities offered by the local market, and an excellent platform to promote our new products and services in Africa.”

Leading Kenyan companies will be also exhibiting at the first edition of the show. Space and Style ltd, a Kenyan company at the forefront of supply and installation of specialized building solutions, will be showcasing the best building products available today in the Kenyan market. “Our product range includes stone coated metal roofing tiles (Decra and Fortiza), bituminous roofing shingles (Roofcolour), light gauge steel (Framtech-structures), water harvesting systems (Gutterflow), waterproofing solutions, floor laminates and building boards,” Paul Kamau from Space and Style Ltd, said.

Visitors to The Big 5 Construct East Africa 2016 will be able to meet with the authorized distributor and retailer of Volvo Construction Equipment, Trucks & Buses in Kenya and the entire East African Countries: Auto Sueco Kenya Limited (ASK). “With the best fuel efficiency in the market, our products are a big saver on the major operational costs and offer the best total cost of ownership (TCO),” Alex Mwangi, Auto Sueco, stated.

Kenyan based Engineering Supplies, one of the country’s leading supplier of Industrial and Agricultural equipment and services, will be showcasing a range of products that include small sized generators, pumps and welding equipment at affordable pricing for the price sensitive clientele. Established in 1977, the company boasts almost 30 years’ experience in the market. Pooja Pandya, representing Engineering Supplies, said: “Our workshops in Kenya are fully equipped with latest equipment to give fast and efficient services to the customers whilst ensuring a constant stock of spare parts for all the products.”

The Big 5 Construct East Africa 2016 is the official exhibition of Kenya’s first National Construction Week, backed by the Ministry of Lands & Physical Planning, the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing & Urban Development, the Ministry of Water & Irrigation, and Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest). The event also enjoys the support of Kenya Federation of Master Builders, UN-OPS, Kenya Institute of Public Policy, Research and Analysis, Town and Country Planners Associations of Kenya (TCPAK), Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK), The Institute of Clerks of Works, Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta University of Architecture and Technology, Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), Kenya Railways, Kenya Wildlife Service, and the National Commission of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Co-located with the Second Annual Construction Research Conference and Exhibition (ACoRCE 2016) of the National Construction Authority (NCA), The Big 5 Construct East Africa 2016 will offer more than 15 CPD certified and free to attend workshops. Delivered by industry experts, the workshops will explore innovative solutions, latest trends and best practices in the built environment.
